The stories and artifacts of the National Air and Space Museum have the power to spark the feats and discoveries of tomorrow. The Ignite Tomorrow campaign supports one of the most dramatic transformations in the history of the museum, and the boundless educational experiences that arise from it, fueling the passions and imaginations of the next generation of visionaries and explorers.
The National Air and Space Museum is the world’s most-visited museum that tells the story of individual achievement and human innovation to master flight. We are well positioned to inspire the next generation with impactful programming, exhibitions and experiences. From our flagship building on the National Mall to the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, Emil Buehler Conservation Laboratory, Mary Baker Engen Restoration Hangar and the virtual realm, we ignite learning in science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) while strengthening the endowment for future enthusiasts and explorers.
The museum’s current fundraising priorities include the transformation of the National Mall building's galleries and presentation spaces; the development of onsite and online education programming to complement the new exhibitions; enhancements to the visitor experience at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, from visitor engagement to artifact displays; and endowment for the staffing needed to support these initiatives across the educational, curatorial and collections teams.
